Global Trade & Services Committee

The Global Trade & Services Committee of ICAI is committed to strengthening India’s presence in global services trade by promoting international collaboration, enhancing professional opportunities, and positioning accounting and finance as key export services in the evolving global economy. The Committee works closely with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and international institutions to facilitate trade integration, policy engagement, and global professional mobility.

Action Plan for Council Year 2026–27

Through structured initiatives such as MoU collaborations, global summits, policy advocacy, GCC development programs, international engagements, and professional skill-building activities, the Committee aims to create sustainable global opportunities for members and strengthen ICAI’s international footprint.

Focusing on five key areas:
  • Trade & Market Integration: Facilitating cross-border trade, uncovering new market access, and strengthening export capabilities.
  • Global Services & Professional Mobility: Enabling seamless mobility and worldwide recognition of Indian accounting professionals.
  • Policy & Government Affairs: Engaging actively with policymakers to champion favorable regulatory frameworks.
  • GCC & Emerging Global Ecosystems: Focusing on Global Capability Centers and driving digital-first international networks.
  • Capacity Building: Equipping members with future-ready skills to lead efficiently in global markets.
